Transfer printing is a well-proven
technology resulting in brilliant colours and a very high print definition. The key advantage of this process is the relatively simple operation in which dyes are transferred from printed transfer paper to textile. Two main end products can be produced with transfer printing: Disperse dyestuff or polyester or other manmade fibres and reactive dyestuff on cotton or other cellulose fibres.
Transfer printing calender for manmade fibres
The used technology makes for a reliable and compact system in combination with disperse dyestuff and synthetic woven, knitted or non-woven fabrics like polyester, nylon, acrylic and blends. At temperatures of 170 �C and higher, the dyes sublimate, penetrate and fixate into the synthetic fibres. Transfer printing offers an optimum combination of just in time delivery, economy and simplicity. However, the process demands precise temperature control to ensure high-quality results. For this reason Klieverik has developed a transfer printing calender which allows the required temperature to be maintained within a very small margin.

Graphic tansfer printing calender for manmade fibres
This calender has especially been designed for the sublimation and dye fixation of prints, made by a digital printer. The immediate transfer or dye fixation of the printed image creates a totally different approach of the production of advertising materials. The image can be altered by means of a computer and can be printed with a digital printer on paper while preserving every photographic-sharp detail, which can be transferred immediately (or in a later stadium if needed) onto the fabric. A major advantage of the system is that the printed material does not require any pre or after-treatment. The calender can also be used for the dye fixation of directly printed digital prints.

Options transfer printing
Metal foil printing
The possibility of performing metal foil printing offers numerous opportunities for the creation of highly fashionable products. Fabrics are first partly pre-printed with adhesive and are then fed into the transfer printer together with a metal foil. The adhesive combines the metal foil with the fabric for a special effect.
Embossing in line
The Klieverik embossing unit combined with a calender, is a multifunctional concept, which can be used for transfer printing and embossing in one passage. The temperature inside the calender is brought to a level at which the textile can be reshaped. In the embossing unit the material gets the desired profile and the temperature of the material is brought back to below the weakening point. The fabrics for this process consist of manmade fibres or mixtures with partly natural fibres.
Twin Transfer System (TTS) for Printing Calender
The TTS-unit enables the use of two narrow rolls of transfer paper side-by-side, to print up to 3200 mm wide fabrics with one design. This swiftly adjustable and very accurate paper guiding system results in prints on the wide fabric that do not show a line or mark in the middle of the printed design. The obvious advantage is that the transfer printer can use relatively cheap narrow transfer paper instead of the more expensive wide paper. This means that the customer can choose from an extensive range of designs. The TTS system can also be delivered as a stand alone unit in front of an existing calender.
